- "crossover as an outsider to gospel" does this mean West had not released a gospel song before? What does "outsider" mean exactly in this context?
- Added the word new next to genre for clarification. --K. Peake 07:24, 12 September 2022 (UTC)
- Italicize a cappella because it's a loanword
- "after his conversion to their religion" I think West was a Christian far back; there's a song called "Jesus Walks". Did he convert to Christianity later on? We need some more context here.
- The God Is in the TV source provides context about his Sunday Service Choir project; should I add something about this to background? --K. Peake 07:24, 12 September 2022 (UTC)
- Release and reception: I'd go for a chronological order, starting with the tracklist reveal in August, the preview in September, and finally the release in October.
- Not done for release sections, the main aspect of the release date should be wrote first and then the track list reveals plus previews since these are giving further info related to it. --K. Peake 07:24, 12 September 2022 (UTC)
- Newsweek post-2013 has been unreliable per WP:RSP
- May I know what makes Spectrum Culture reliable?
- The website is a webzine dedicated to features and reviews, the latter of which is being cited here. Also, here is proof of a sizeable editorial team and a proper process. --K. Peake 07:24, 12 September 2022 (UTC)

- Article is neutral, meets the required length, and is sufficiently referenced. Promoted to GA on September 13, the same day as this nomination. Hooks are interesting, succinct, and reliably sourced, though I prefer the phrasing of ALT1; I always prefer to see ALTs with different facts, instead of simply using them to rephrase the original, but this is a good hook so it's fine. QPQ looks good. This is good to go! – Rhain ☔ (he/him) 09:27, 13 September 2022 (UTC)
- @Kyle Peake and Rhain: my apologies for being a bit harsher on this nom that I normally would be, but I'm not sure the hook is up to scratch. The only reason I say so is because, weirdly enough, our articles on pop and rap songs tend to fall at a disadvantage to readers – they don't often attract much attention. I'll also say that when I read the hook, my first thought is that it seems pretty clear to me how that quote ends up inspiring that song – so there's no reason to click. It happens to be that there's a richer story under that quote, but the hook doesn't really hint that there might be more to the story. theleekycauldron (talk • contribs) (she/her) 02:07, 3 October 2022 (UTC)
- Theleekycauldron Maybe I should change to something potentially more interesting, like "originated from a basic vocal track" or "originated from a basic track of him singing"? K. Peake 07:58, 3 October 2022 (UTC)
- @Kyle Peake: I would say that those both also seem rather ordinary? theleekycauldron (talk • contribs) (she/her) 17:37, 6 October 2022 (UTC)
- Theleekycauldron I have proposed a new ALT if this is more interesting due to the significance? K. Peake 07:20, 8 October 2022 (UTC)
- @Kyle Peake: I would probably consider that acceptable, although I'd warn you that I'm not optimistic about its run on the Main Page. theleekycauldron (talk • contribs) (she/her) 22:03, 8 October 2022 (UTC)
