Complicated, as this article describes two different senses of the word... one of them largely wrongly! Google translate renders both of those German terms as "haberdashery". As there's unlikely to be a DAB page to land on for terms that presumably aren't at all ambiguous in the same way as here, unclear to handle this. Ideally there would be separate articles for the word as a term and its history, and for the different types of retailer separately... but there might not be the weight of material to make that practicable.
