Any products?

As of Sept 2012, many Pro AV companies now use HDBaseT as an underlying technology for various video transmitter/receivers and switching systems, though most of the ones I know of are proprietary and do not talk to each other. Examples include Crestron's Digital Media 8G+ platform; AMX's DXLink transmitters/receivers and Enova DVX and DGX switchers; and products by Kramer Electronics, Atlona, and others. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 97.86.4.233 (talk) 15:35, 19 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Specs?

Other than that the standard runs over Cat5e or better cable, the article has few details of how the standard actually works. Perhaps that's partly because the trade association's own site has little concrete detail about the standard; just whitepapers about all the cool things you can hook together using it. If we can find it somewhere, I'd like more details about the modulation method, which wires do what in the cable, packetization rules (if any), voltages, currents, etc. If there are patents that are alleged to cover the standard, it would be helpful to cite those as well. How to cite an Email?

I was trying to find out why "HDBaseT" is called what it is, and wasn't able to find anything. Ultimately I ended up filling out the Contact form on the Valens Semiconductor website, received a response detailing why it was named that.

Is there anyway I can edit this article to include that information? It's not as if I have a link to it, or can really provide proof other than a screenshot (dubious) or forwarding the email over to somebody trustworthy as evidence.
