Copyright status of lyrics
[edit]Lyrics are public domain. The writer, Ismail Marzuki, died in 1958. Article 29 of the Indonesian copyright law states that the copyright lasts for the life of the author plus 50 years, and 1958 + 50 is 2008. Crisco 1492 (talk) 12:35, 11 July 2011 (UTC)
Is this right?
[edit]The lead says: "The song's line mati satu, tumbuh seribu has entered common Indonesian vernacular", but this line doesn't appear in the lyrics reproduced. George Ponderevo (talk) 13:55, 17 August 2011 (UTC)
- Oops, you're right. I accidentally put mati (die) instead of gugur (to fall or die virtuously) Crisco 1492 (talk) 07:52, 9 November 2011 (UTC)
