Notable residents
[edit]William Archibald Spooner is purportedly buried here. It seems likely then that he lived here for some time. If that could be substantiated, he would make a worth addition to the notable persons section. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 109.255.170.45 (talk) 15:08, 24 August 2013 (UTC)
Location
[edit]It would be useful for the article to say whether before 1974 Grasmere fell within the county of Cumberland or that of Westmorland (for example, I am writing a historical novel and need this information). Deipnosophista (talk) 08:30, 15 June 2008 (UTC)
Vandalism
[edit]I deleted the text referring to "best thing about Grasmere" as this is not NPOV; also deleted reference to turtles and surfing as citation provided mentions neither of these. Please provide citation if unhappy about deletion. Laplacemat (talk) 10:04, 30 March 2013 (UTC)
CCHT external link
[edit]This link was added to the article after discussion on the WP Reliable Sources Noticeboard. See: WP:RSN exercise. No information from the CCHT link has been put into the body of the article in the form of citations because it has not yet been verified for 100% accuracy by the Victoria County History project for Cumbria. (This will take some years to do). Laplacemat (talk) 17:32, 034 May 2013 (UTC)
