1719 & 1772 Royal Prussia a part of Poland

[edit]

The book comes from 1791 when the province name was changed by the occupants from Royal Prussia (1466-1772) to West Prussia (1773-1824; 1878-1919). Gottfried Achenwall was born in 1719 and died in 1772 when those territories were still part of Poland. The book from 1791 simply shows that the name Elbląg was not the 1945 invention and that it was even used in a German book when Elbląg fell under Prussian rule in 1772. To show it more clearely there is a book from 1754 which states the same thing. 77.253.66.49 (talk) 09:58, 21 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
