I was kindly pointed out the absence of references to the phrase "reached number one in ranks among the top 100 albums". Nonetheless, the references I had reported already confirmed this information. In any case, I have added several others for greater confirmation of what is stated on the page. Thank you all for your comments and review. --Max Peltuinum (talk) 14:24, 9 April 2021 (UTC)
Re: comment on Wikipedia:NMUSIC
[edit]@Theroadislong: I read on Wikipedia:Notability (music), about musicians or ensembles, which can be noteworthy if they meet at least one of the criteria listed. Specifically, the item "Gianfranco Continenza” satisfies not 1 but well 7 criteria.
1. Multiple published works, not trivial, which appear in reliable sources, not self-published and independent of the musician or the ensemble: THIS CRITERIA IS SATISFIED BY 4 SOLO ALBUMS, 3 COMPILATIONS, VARIOUS COLLABORATIONS, AS WELL AS AND BY REFERENCES TO: newspaper articles, books, magazine articles, online versions of print media and nationally and internationally relevant television documentaries (no reissues of press releases, no publications where the musician or ensemble talks about himself, no work it simply consists of trivial coverage, no articles in school or university newspapers).
2. Had a single or album on the national music chart of any country: THIS CRITERIA IS SATISFIED BY THE ALBUM THE PAST INSIDE THE PRESENT.
3. Received non-trivial coverage in independent reliable sources of an international concert tour or a national concert tour in at least one sovereign country: THIS CRITERIA IS SATISFIED BY PARTICIPATION AS A LEADER IN THE BRATISLAVA JAZZ DAY.
4. He has released two or more albums on a major or one of the most important indie labels: THIS CRITERION IS SATISFIED BY THE PUBLICATION WITH ESC RECORDS (historic German record company) AND VIDEORADIO (historic Italian record company).
5. Is an ensemble that contains two or more prominent independent musicians, or is a musician who has been a reasonably prominent member of two or more independent prominent ensembles: THIS CRITERION IS SATISFIED BY THE ARTISTS WHO HAVE COLLABORATED IN HIS ALBUMS, SUCH AS MICHAEL MANRING, BILL EVANS, SCOTT KINSEY, ETC.
6. He has become one of the most prominent representatives of a notable style or the most important of the local scene of a city: THIS CRITERIA IS SATISFIED BY HAVING CONQUERED THE FAME OF "JAZZ FUSION GUITAR WIZARD".
7. Was the subject of an important broadcast segment through a national radio or television network: THIS CRITERION IS SATISFIED BY HAVING BEEN A GUEST IN TELEVISION BROADCASTS IN ALBANIA (TOP CHANNEL) AND IN ITALY (RAI 3).
As you can see, it meets 7 criteria, but even one would be enough to pass Notability (music). Thank you!--Max Peltuinum (talk) 15:06, 2 July 2021 (UTC)
- OK, if that is actually the case I am sure a reviewer will shortly accept. Theroadislong (talk) 15:42, 2 July 2021 (UTC)
Re: comment on Wikipedia:REFBOMBING
[edit]@Theroadislong:Thanks for the tip! I deleted half of the references. Do you think it can be enough? I am afraid of completely stripping the voice of the rightful sources.--Max Peltuinum (talk) 18:57, 2 July 2021 (UTC)
@Theroadislong:As requested by Maproom (here), in some references I have added the url to the respective pdf file (although it is not really necessary) to further their notability.--Max Peltuinum (talk) 11:15, 5 July 2021 (UTC)
