Requested move 27 November 2024

[edit]

Gautam RajuGautham Raju – Actual name and used by many sources. See his social media and YouTube channel [1] [2]. Sources such as [3] and [4] have a h in the name. Only reason there is no h here is due to the title of this page [5]. This is a bit confusing because there seem to be multiple people in the film industry under the name Gautam Raju, and this specific one seems to be credited or mentioned under multiple other spellings ("Gowtam Raju" among others). I would lean towards supporting the move because of the social media, but I just don't feel like I have enough information to actually make more than a comment here. Not knowing much about the Indian culture or naming conventions, it is difficult to make an informed decision on this. Even the New18 article seems to flip flop between spellings in the same article. Is one the shortened version of the other, or is one a common misspelling? For example my wife has a common Americian name with a less common spelling variant, and it isn't uncommon to see her name misspelled by others even in the same document, such as an email? Might it be a case of that? Or perhaps a shortened version of the name? There might be a need for those with cultural experience to share their knowledge here. He is known in media by Gautam, Gautham and Gowtham. Page Gautham Raju redirects to Gautam Raju already so keep as is so that viewers who probably know the subject with different spelling can be redirected. Or I am also OK with changing the name per subject's own personal social media account, that says Gautham, is good enough reason to change the spelling.
