The result of the move request was: not moved. Supporting rationale is not convincing when contradicted, and contra-evidenced, by the opposers. DrKay (talk) 08:53, 9 April 2022 (UTC)
GKS Górnik 1979 Łęczna → Górnik 1979 Łęczna – per: club names in Poland don't have prefixes (see: Category:Football clubs in Poland) + GKS Górnik Łęczna (the original club) is called "Górnik Łęczna" without the prefix. - Oppose - the claim that 'club names in Poland don't have prefixes' is nonsense, as seen by the full name of this club - 'Górnicy Kibice Sportowcy Górnik 1979 Łęczna'. See also Talk:OKS Stomil Olsztyn#Requested move 22 September 2020 where a Polish club was moved to include the prefix. GiantSnowman 15:48, 19 March 2022 (UTC)
- Comment - @GiantSnowman: The situation was different then - the car factory was also called Stomil Olsztyn! The vast majority of clubs do not have prefixes, so it is much more economical to remove prefixes from the few articles I propose. Please change your mind here! Having the name "Robotniczy Klub Sportowy Raków Częstochowa", will you try to change your name to RKS Raków Częstochowa? This is nonsense! Atlantico 000 (talk) 13:45, 20 March 2022 (UTC)
- Support per nom Soorma221 (talk) 06:27, 4 April 2022 (UTC)
- Oppose rationale is wrong,Polish clubs do sometimes use prefixes, and seems like the current name is the actual WP:COMMONNAME. Joseph2302 (talk) 08:12, 4 April 2022 (UTC)
- Support per nom and common name (in Poland we don't use GKS or RKS and so on). Natapanedd (talk) 12:20, 8 April 2022 (UTC)
- Oppose The rationale is clearly untrue, as anyone can look in Category:Football clubs in Poland and its subcategories and see plenty of articles with prefixes (BKS Stal Bielsko-Biała, GLKS Nadarzyn, MKS Kluczbork and so on). Cheers, Number 57 22:03, 8 April 2022 (UTC)
