[edit]there is an awful lot of unsubstantiated, uncited puffery with respect to the sections that mention the computer science department. specifically in the first two paragraphs and the dedicated section towards the bottom. as far as i know, columbia doesn't have a particularly big computer science department and i'm not sure it's as widely regarded as the statements claim. (maybe i'm wrong, if these assertions were cited, i would know)

Title of article
[edit]As the school was "renamed" the Fu School of Engineering, why is the title of the article still "Columbia School of Engineering and Applied Sciences"?
As reference, when the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business changed its name to "Booth School of Business," the title changed accordingly. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 128.135.100.102 (talk) 00:51, 17 February 2011 (UTC)

The article highlights the school's graduating class of approximately 300, but according to the school's website there were 1,583 undergraduates in 2014-15, so that would make the class closer to 470. Also, why emphasis on the school's ties with undergraduate schools at Columbia - Columbia College and School of General studies - when in fact the school has more graduate students than undergraduates (according to its website 2,004 in 2014-15). — Preceding unsigned comment added by 194.201.210.196 (talk) 13:15, 13 February 2018 (UTC)
Short description
[edit]@GhostInTheMachine, regarding this edit, I disagree with changing the short description to School of Columbia University, New York
. There is only one Columbia University in existence right now; we don't need to change it to "Columbia University, New York". If the concern is that the short description doesn't adequately convey where the school is located, then I think the short description should be School of Columbia University in New York. – Epicgenius (talk) 22:53, 28 July 2023 (UTC)
