Wait, What?
[edit]Why is this page dominated by the Jocks? Seriously, We have Math, Social Sciences and Art put under the Music section. "Hey, let's put everything that isn't sports in the 'Music' section!"? Also, all of our notable alumni are just people who went on to star in not-quite-as-useless-to-society sports. How about Robert Tallack, or Steven Rhodes?
This page isn't much different from the school itself. Sports players think they dominate everything and can just shove off their academic learning somewhere where they can ignore it to go off to their seventh tournament this month in the middle of Chemistry class. Well done, "IceDog" and "HockeyFan". Totally inconspicuous there.
There are a number of athletes from Frontenac who are highly respected professors, lawyers, doctors and professional musicians. You need to get your facts straight before putting them into print. Frontenac is an athletic school yes but the majority of athletes have gone on to live productive lives. Former athletes such as Dr. Jonathan Taylor practicing in Lethbridge, Alberta, Dr. David Taylor practicing in Los Angles, California and Dr. Ken Kirkwood a professor at the University of Western Ontario and winner of Canada’s university teacher of the year are former Frontenac graduates and athletes. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 216.123.241.74 (talk) 17:38, 7 March 2008 (UTC)

This is a real issue and not just one person's opinion. There are other facets of life at Frontenac (though you wouldn't know it). —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.226.88.223 (talk) 14:17, 3 March 2008 (UTC)
Arts
[edit]The Arts at FSS are ignored, abused, and unloved by the administration. The Kiwanis Festival is an excellent example. At the festival, students from all the other participating schools came to cheer their band(s) on. Any Falcons? Nope. The only FSS students watching were those not playing at the moment. What is wrong with this school?? We sent TWO entire buses to Toronto to watch the football team, yet we can't get one student to watch the bands? We can have an assembly to congratulate the athletes, yet the Improv team, the bands, and even the Senior Reach, which won the national competition, got nothing but a single announcement each?? And brief ones at that! Aargh. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Ceilonar (talk • contribs) 14:20, 3 March 2008 (UTC)
OK. So we need an ASSEMBLY to recognize ANOTHER piece of shiny metal with a football on it, that's going to collect dust in the trophy case? Can we at least get SOMETHING one the announcements that is about the arts? The Improv team went to the Olympics and does anybody know about it? No. The Kiwanis Festival just happened and it’s so unknown that you probably think I made that word up!
== You surely don't mean that it "foundered under the name Collins Bay High School." It may have foundered for many reasons, but the former name was not one of them, to my knowledge. I think you mean "Frontenac Secondary School was founded in 1957 under the name Collins Bay High School." I would change it but I don't know how.
