High freeboard?

Freeboard is measured at different points, not just the lowest. And the French were concerned with freeboard at the bow, to maximize surface speed.--Sturmvogel 66 (talk) 17:32, 20 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Sorry - I came off as being rude there - not intended. I had always thought that freeboard was an indication of how far the water had to rise to wash over the lowest deck and enter the vessel. I guess I was a bit off there. --Badger151 (talk) 22:29, 20 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]
