Which year and category did he win a logie award? I can find no sources to confirm this. I went through every year listed here and couldn't find him anywhere on the list. No, you didn't search well. It was in TV Week. How long are young going to leave mistakes up on this page?
You didn't try very hard! It was Best Current Affairs 1974. The program listed its reporting team after every program aired. In those early days the program was awarded to the reporting team contributing a submission of 5 film/reports. The reporter who contributed the most (Palmos 3.5) took home the award on behalf of the entire team, which was duly listed on Wikipedia.
