Proposed edits to page

To whoever sees this: My name's Ewan, and I work for the Forum for International Trade Training. Our page had not been updated since 2009, so we wanted to update our page and add some additional information we often have questions on and thought would be helpful. I have been notified of the conflict of interest and other editorial guidelines of Wikipedia, so I would like to propose adding the following sections to the FITT page. If anyone could please review them and see whether they feel there is any material that is overly promotional or subjective that should be removed, or if it is acceptable to be added to the page, please let me know what you think as well as what I need to do to proceed adding them to the article. I can also add more sources (hopefully I entered the references properly) or make other changes as needed.

Heading: FITTskills courses

The FITTskills international business courses are designed to teach global trade information and skills to industry professionals or students and others who are new to global trade, importing and exporting.

The eight FITTskills courses are all offered online directly through FITT.[1] They are also offered in-class by trained instructors through educational institutions across Canada and internationally.[2]

There are currently more than 43 educational partners in Canada, China, Colombia, Malaysia, Romania and the UK, offering FITTskills courses in a classroom setting.

FITTskills students will receive the FITT Certificate in International Trade after completing four of the courses, and the FITT Diploma in International Trade after completing all eight courses.[3]

Heading: CITP®|FIBP® designation

The FITT Certified International Trade Professional (CITP®|FIBP®) designation is a professional designation for global business practitioners, earned by meeting a set of competency standards set by FITT.

To qualify for the CITP®|FIBP® designation, applicants must have successfully completed the FITTskills program, or equivalency thereof, and must have a minimum of one-year professional international business experience. They must also agree to the CITP®|FIBP® Standards of Ethical Conduct, commit to ongoing professional development and pay the annual CITP dues.

There are three paths for meeting the requirements for the CITP®|FIBP® designation, based on the applicant’s previous work and education experience in global trade: the Academic Path for those interested in completing all FITTskills courses, the Professional Path for those interested in earning equivalencies to FITTskills courses based on previous experience, and the Executive Path for those with ten or more years of experience.[4]

FITT has also awarded honourary CITP®|FIBP® designations to several notable figures in international trade, including former Canadian Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister John Manley, Canadian Chamber of Commerce CEO Perrin Beatty, Governor of the Bank of Canada Stephen Poloz, and former Canadian Minister of International Trade Stockwell Day. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Ewan Roy at FITT (talkcontribs) 15:20, 9 March 2016 (UTC)

This all looks very promotional and only sourced to your own website, Wikipedia is not really concerned with what the forum has to say about itself but what the secondary reliable sources say. Theroadislong (talk) 16:45, 9 March 2016 (UTC)
In additional to Theroadislong's very accurate observations, many of sentences in your proposed draft are very closely paraphrased to corresponding pages on FITT's website. This is incompatible with Wikipedia's Creative Commons License: since we permit readers to freely reuse our articles, we cannot include any copyrighted text in our articles. It is possible to grant Wikipedia permission under a free license to reuse copyrighted text, but the preferred solution is to simply rewrite it in your own words—and since the text also has issues with promotionalism, you would have to do that anyway if this edit request is to move forward. If you have any other questions, feel free to ask here or at the Teahouse, a forum for new users that has more active monitors. Thanks, Altamel (talk) 19:35, 9 March 2016 (UTC)

Hi, sorry for forgetting to propose edits before adding them - if you could please let me know which sentences/sections specifically need to be changed to have the notices at the top of the page removed, that would be greatly appreciated.
