Map

Is there a reason why the map is upside down? Shipsview (talk) 09:15, 25 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

The railway ran east from the Balloch (top of the route diagram) to Stirling (bottom of the diagram). The key point to note is that this is a route diagram not a map. --Stewart^{(talk | edits)} 19:21, 25 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Interestingly, railways operating from London to York, etc, have London at the bottom of the diagram. Indeed, I cannot find any others that are not laid out geographically. Shipsview (talk) 21:54, 25 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Geographically the RDT would have to be laid out left to right as the line is west to east. As the major station on the line is at Stirling having it at the bottom seems logical. I can not see why you wish to have Balloch at the bottom, to my mind it seem most illogical. Looking at other east/west routes in Central Scotland, there appears to be a 50/50 split to those which are east at the top and east at the bottom. --Stewart^{(talk | edits)} 22:35, 26 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
