Crescent moon in non-Muslim nation flags
[edit]Mongolia's flag also sports a crescent moon, in addition to Singapore and Nepal. 2604:6000:D182:51F0:2C4D:E73D:2BF7:DC8F (talk) 15:40, 20 June 2018 (UTC)
The crescent moon on Singapore's flag is a waning crescent when observed from the Northern Hemisphere (which Singapore lies in).— Preceding unsigned comment added by Gluonman (talk • contribs) 16:23, 8 September 2022 (UTC)
Border?
[edit]Is it possible to put a border around the flag, of one pixel in width? Wouldn't have to be black. Right now, because the lower half of the flag is white, it is difficult to tell where the flag ends and the white background begins. In Encyclopædia Britannica for instance, there is a grey border that I think helps. Shocking Blue (talk) 09:37, 3 December 2019 (UTC)
- Agree with Shocking Blue.
- Pakistan also has a white portion at the staff end which is hard to see against a white background. Japan also needs a grey background. ----MountVic127 (talk) 00:20, 12 March 2023 (UTC)
- The White Ensign of the navies of Great Britain, Australia, New Zealand and Canada also need a grey background. ----MountVic127 (talk) 00:31, 12 March 2023 (UTC)
Missing on reference on Malaysia/Singapore flag ratio
[edit]On the introduction paragraph, it states "Prior to its independence, it was the only state flag in Malaysia not to have a 1:2 ratio.". The same fun fact is also mentioned in https://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/List_of_Malaysian_flags#State_flags
However, there are no references supporting this statement. Can anyone find a source? I can't seem to find it mentioned elsewhere (Though it does appear to be true, all the other flags are 1:2 as far as I have searched) --Obwama (talk) 09:47, 26 August 2021 (UTC)
- Obwama, removed. Thank you. Seloloving (talk) 12:04, 26 August 2021 (UTC)
