– All but one entry (Morris M. Estee) on the dab page is for Estee as the given name; the pages are basically duplicate. Hameltion (talk | contribs) 17:12, 21 September 2023 (UTC) — Relisting. BilledMammal (talk) 03:15, 29 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Note: pages with content, such as Estee, are ineligible to be proposed titles in move requests unless they, too, are formally dispositioned. "EsteeEstee (disambiguation)" has been added to this request to meet that requirement. P.I. Ellsworth , ed. put'er there 04:15, 22 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, my oversight. I think in my head I had the dab page being deleted, but the twofer of Morris and Esti maybe makes it worthwhile. Hameltion (talk | contribs) 21:40, 22 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oppose. The article is about the name. this is the standard title for name articles. It's not a disambiguation page. Bookworm857158367 (talk) 01:44, 22 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
It's an application of WP:NAMELIST, but an excessive one, because there's only 4 people listed. Having a single article about 1 surname holder and 4 given name holders is not too long. --Joy (talk) 10:54, 22 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
  • Still oppose for the reason I already gave. Bookworm857158367 (talk) 15:09, 22 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I don't quite understand the reason. The standard name for name articles is indeed Foo (given name), and we do that when it makes sense to split out an anthroponymy article out. In this case, there is no real value in splitting out anything because it's practically all duplicated. IOW we just force whoever is looking for the list of people named Estee to click once more, while maintaining an illusion of giving them more info. There's also no other disambiguation content beyond the surname, so why wouldn't we just convert the base title to a set index article? --Joy (talk) 15:26, 23 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
  • Just a thought, but we could merge the given name and surname pages into a single "name" page. BD2412 T 13:49, 25 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I don't have a problem with Estee (name). I do with Estee (disambiguation). It's a name article that can be expanded, not a disambiguation page. Bookworm857158367 (talk) 13:55, 25 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
