second dirtiest industry in the world??

This claim it is "the second dirtiest industry in the world" does not seem very well sourced. It cites a group called Ecowatch, and that relies on a quote from 'fashion industry magnate' Eileen Fisher. Booklung (talk) 20:14, 8 October 2018 (UTC)

Chart

A bar chart of the CO2 uptake of the various natural fabrics would be useful here. Also, a bar chart with the CO2 emissions of the (fossil-fuel-powered) machines (for soil preperation, harvesting, watering, transport, ...) would be required. Even a table with this info would be helpful. Genetics4good (talk) 11:51, 21 July 2019 (UTC)

Article Evaluation

The article seems to have a relatively neutral position. It states facts about the environmental impact of fast fashion rather than providing biased claims that try to influence the audience or frame the topic in a particular position. For instance, the article describes the resources that go into fashion, and statistics about the consumption and production of fashion. It does not provide suggestions on what policies should be enacted regarding fashion and the environment, or a certain political stance or personal experiences that aim to persuade readers. Article Critique

There should be a citation included after the sentences "Two of the main ingredients in pesticides are nitrates and phosphates. When the pesticides leak into stream systems surrounding the cropland, the nitrates and phosphates contribute to water eutrophication." [1]. The information about pesticide ingredients seems to have been taken from another resource, and should be properly cited to give credit to the original source. The sentences appear to be either close paraphrasing or plagiarism without a citation. The facts provided in these sentences should be attributed to the reliable, original source. Article Critique

The article has three different sections after the introduction paragraph. The viewpoints are generally equal, however the marine pollution section is underrepresented compared to the other sections, and could have more information on animals that are affected through this process, or the further environmental consequences that arise from fashion induced marine pollution. The section before described processes involving how the environment is affected through the natural fibers of clothes, however the marine pollution section could have a more detailed discussion of such processes involving marine life and how they are negatively impacted by clothing materials.
