Casting
[edit]In the casting section it says that the thespians who portray Mr. Elton and his wife steal most of the comedic moments in the film. I might agree with that, but isn't it something of an opinion rather than a fact? (Unless there are articles in which the critics or large sections of the public share that opinion). --198.110.207.233 (talk) 05:29, 27 January 2008 (UTC)
Silent Worship
[edit]The song Silent Worship which is sung by Emma and Mr Churchill in the film is lovely but quite anachronistic in that setting. Although the melody was written by Handel in 1728 for a song, Non lo dirò col labbro, in his opera, Tolomeo, the lyrics for the song, Silent Worship, were not written until 1927 by Arthur Somervell, some 100+ years after the events of Emma were set. Worth mentioning in the article ? -- Derek Ross | Talk 05:50, 14 December 2009 (UTC)

Emma (1996 film) → ? – There is another Emma adaptation of the same year, starring Kate Beckinsale. I am not convinced that "(1996 film)" is unambiguous enough for the Gwyneth Paltrow/Miramax version. In fact, I requested Journey to the Center of the Earth (2008 theatrical film) to abandon "Hollywood" disambiguator not long ago, but many opposed. Perhaps add "Miramax" or "theatrical"? - Support move to Emma (1996 theatrical film) as a proper contrast to Emma (1996 TV film) since "Emma (1996 film)" is too ambigious. Per WP:PRECISION, we need to be as precise as necessary, and the added modifier will help here. Erik (talk | contribs) 16:31, 11 May 2013 (UTC)
- Rename per Erik, and make the current title a disambiguation page link to Emma (disambiguation) ; ambiguous disambiguation is a bad idea -- 65.94.76.126 (talk) 23:40, 12 May 2013 (UTC)
- Support move to Emma (1996 theatrical film) as Erik says, and probably write this into WP:NCF as a very famous example. (I had to buy both of these as DVD presents so would have found the example helpful) In ictu oculi (talk) 02:59, 15 May 2013 (UTC)
