I am 57 years old and seem to remember that the programme on ITV, opposite which Doctor Who on the BBC was eventually shown (early-evening on Saturdays in late-1963), and one that started some time before Doctor Who, featured a treasure hunt by some children. Each episode ended with a clue in the form of a quotation from Shakespeare. At the end of the series/serial, the 'treasure' was revealed to be a diamond or other gem (an emerald? -- hence the name of the programme?). Was the ITV programme Emerald Soup? If not, what was the name of the programme I remember? Can anyone help? 89.240.31.248 (talk) 21:15, 15 July 2010 (UTC)
