heavyweight
[edit]Canek was not one of the few true heavyweights in Mexican lucha libre as this article states. Canek was one of the few Mexican heavyweights working for the Universal Wrestling Association, that's why he dominated the UWA heavyweight title for so long, but there were many other top luchadores of his generation over 220lbs working for other promotions, including Mil Mascaras, Cien Caras, Tinieblas, Sicodelico[1], Rayo de Jalisco Jr[2], Angel Blanco[3], Enrique Vera[4], Dr Wagner[5], Gran Marcus[6] and El Halcon[7].NagamiTwo (talk) 09:35, 22 February 2008 (UTC)

Canek (wrestler) → El Canek – The individual is known by both "Canek" and "El Canek"; the latter title will allow for natural disambiguation and more direct linking. McPhail (talk) 18:28, 18 January 2022 (UTC)
- Support. I'd also recommend moving Canek (disambiguation) to Canek, the latter is attracting bad links. 162 etc. (talk) 19:44, 18 January 2022 (UTC)
- Support Similar to El Santo. I always see his name as El Canek. Similar to Calaway, one time is Undertaker, other The Undertaker. --HHH Pedrigree (talk) 09:18, 19 January 2022 (UTC)
- Support I usually see it as "El Canek" (like El Santo).LM2000 (talk) 09:47, 22 January 2022 (UTC)
