I would say that there is sufficient assertion of notability, in that he is claimed to have discovered the Neptunian ring system. Whether that is enough should be an AFD debate. My personal opinion is that this is definitely enough. --Pekaje 14:03, 28 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Its more than enough--it just wasn't shown at the top of the articles so it may not have gotten noticed. The claim was sourced, and confirmed by dozens of articles in Google Scholar, etc. Naturally, I declined to delete it and have left a note for the guy who tagged it. (The artcicle should be expanded, though, with fuller discussions and references to his other work. DGG 15:51, 28 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
