The result of the move request was: move the page to the base name, per the discussion below. (Note: Édouard François, the article for the architect, remains at its own base title as that seems to be the primary topic of the search term "Édouard François." The French Wikipedia has no article or redirect titled "Eddy François".) Dekimasuよ!03:25, 16 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Eddy François (singer) → Eddy François – No reliable evidence exists that the footballer or the architect have ever carried this name. For the footballer, the user who added the name in 2010 to the footballer's article already admitted in Talk:Aidi (footballer born 1990) that the source he used was most likely fabricated. The architect's name is Édouard François, not Eddy François in any web source, and even if his wife for example calls him Eddy, that is hardly rationale to create a WP:TWODAB. There is indeed an architect named Eddy François, a 1961-born Belgian, not the same person as the 1958-born French whose stub Édouard François was hastily created. Oppose - this appears to be random fallout from persistent move requests on the footballer rather than a proposal with it's own great merit. Google Books evidence please. Édouard François is the major article in fr.wp, the singer is secondary, and given the confusion with the footballer, in sources, removing the (singer) adds no value to any reader.
