Article name

[edit]

I am curious as to why the article is named Elisabeth Hirsch when she is referred to as Elisa Stilson Magagna and EC Stilson in the opening paragraph and then Stilson throughout? Oronsay (talk) 07:51, 10 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

(belatedly) good question. Cas Liber (talk · contribs) 05:34, 8 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
The name Elisabeth Hirsch was Elisa Stilson Magagna's pen name for a short period during the early days of the author's blog. EC Stilson is the author's current pen name and the article should be renamed. 108.7.69.196 (talk) 18:01, 14 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Self-published books as sources

[edit]

I suspect that the majority of this author's books are self-published and the content of this article should be verified. 108.7.69.196 (talk) 18:04, 14 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Wayman Publishing

[edit]

In 2011 Stilson founded Wayman Publishing. There is no source for this and not much of a trace of it in the Web Archive: https://web.archive.org/web/20210309152318/http://waymanpublishing.webs.com/ 108.7.69.196 (talk) 18:38, 14 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Literati Publications

[edit]

It states that she is a founder of Literati Publications, but this has no source. 108.7.69.196 (talk) 19:50, 14 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Bibliography

[edit]

It appears that the entire bibliography for this author consists of self-published books. 108.7.69.196 (talk) 20:38, 14 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Some of her followers question that she has terminal cancer

[edit]

There is a group of her followers on Reddit who believe that she does not have terminal cancer due to lack of evidence:

@2601:647:200:5CC0:C989:200A:DF20:744E: I'm turning off the {{help}} template because it is not supposed to be used for a content discussion, which this talk page section really is. If you think you need more eyes on the issue, the place to ask is probably at the talk page of one of the WikiProjects bannered at the top of the page. Just remember to stay neutral and avoid canvassing. — jmcgnh(talk) (contribs) 09:21, 8 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
This is an issue that requires mediation, which why the help page is being used. 2601:647:200:5CC0:C54C:7C6E:6277:AD07 (talk) 11:45, 8 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I think WP:BALANCE needs to be considered here. If no independent sources have commented on this or the reddit group, then it's just an editor choosing to highlight that particular instagram post out of all of the posts made. It doesn't really belong in an encyclopedia article, which is not intended to be a day-by-day update of everything they say and do. (Edited my comment to add: came here from WP:BLPN post.)
