Merge proposal

[edit]

There's no such thing as a Dutch War against ISIL, there is a Dutch participation (6 F-16 fighters) in the Military intervention against ISIL. None of the sources mentioned call this participation a 'Dutch war', so the title (and content_ of this article are misleading. Kleuske (talk) 13:54, 17 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

If you can find out the operation name it can move to that. Gavbadger (talk) 13:57, 17 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Oppose merge on the grounds that the Dutch actions (like those of the other countries like Russia, with Russian military intervention in the Syrian Civil War). However, it does seem reasonable to move the page to Dutch military intervention against ISIL, matching the format of the title of the international article to which it most closely relates. Proposing a page move along these lines (see the relevant section below). Klbrain (talk) 13:39, 26 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned references in Dutch War against ISIL

[edit]

I check pages listed in Category:Pages with incorrect ref formatting to try to fix reference errors. One of the things I do is look for content for orphaned references in wikilinked articles. I have found content for some of Dutch War against ISIL's orphans, the problem is that I found more than one version. I can't determine which (if any) is correct for this article, so I am asking for a sentient editor to look it over and copy the correct ref content into this article.

I apologize if any of the above are effectively identical; I am just a simple computer program, so I can't determine whether minor differences are significant or not. AnomieBOT 17:55, 17 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Dutch War against ISILDutch military intervention against ISIL – The move overcomes arguments elsewhere on the page that there is no Dutch War, and better matches the naming of other articles like Russian military intervention in the Syrian Civil War and International military intervention against ISIL.
