Merge
[edit]I suggest that this article be merged with Dragon Ball Z: Budokai (series). The game, while not bearing the Budokai name, still shares very similar gameplay elements. In fact, Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Infinite World has been stated to have used sucessful concepts from the game. I really see no reason for this to stand on its own. - Probably better to not merge at this time. Like you said, it's not part of the Budokai series. Neither is Infinite World right? I mean, just because the Budokai games could've been used as a basis doesn't give precedence to start merging. That's just my opinion. Lord Sesshomaru (talk • edits) 23:14, 29 May 2009 (UTC)
- Infinite World is a part of the Budokai series, it says so in the title. DBZROCKSIts over 9000!!! 23:50, 29 May 2009 (UTC)
- Sorry man but I don't see it. Both the Infinite World page and this one are not suggesting that they're relevant to the Budokai games, at all. Lord Sesshomaru (talk • edits) 12:02, 30 May 2009 (UTC)
- (Edit Conflict) This game is not apart of the of the Budokai series, lots of people have tried to say so on the template. That would be orignal research as there's nothing out that confirms that the game is indeed apart of the series. Also similar game mechanics are not a justification for a merger. What matters is the real world content its development and its impact. There are alot of DBZ games out there with simular elements in their gameplay but they manage to stand out on their own due to real world content. Sarujo (talk) 23:28, 29 May 2009 (UTC)
- It would not be original research to call this part of the Budokai series. For one, the game has nearly the same mechanics as the Budokai series, it was made by the same developer, and in terms of real world content, the article currently has none. Just because a game does not have a similar name does not mean that it is not part of the same series. For example Dragon Ball Z: Buu's Fury is considered a part of the Legacy of Goku series, as it has the same mechanics as the previous games. Also, due to merging there are very few Dragon Ball video game articles that have the same mechanics, and those could easily be merged, as most of them have no real world content. - Why does everything need to be merged with you people? Fuck merges, man.--Koji† 00:07, 30 May 2009 (UTC)
- No, Buu's Fury is considered as such because it was marketed as such. Plus that game picks up where LOG II leaves off. So what important person is calling this a Budokai game?
- Not completely true, there is some real world stuff, but it's too little. All this article really need is a good clean up, and expansion. Which I intend to do once I get my hands on the game. Sarujo (talk) 00:36, 30 May 2009 (UTC)
- Since we seem to be in consensus save for User:DBZROCKS that Infinite World isn't a part of this series, went ahead and removed its section from the article and clipped the merge proposal tag from its article. As for Burst Limit, I agree with the above opposing it's merge. If it isn't part of this series, it shouldn't be merged into here especially when it can be improved.--Kung Fu Man (talk) 16:56, 30 May 2009 (UTC)
- Merge? What the hell? A merger would only increased the evidence of Wikipedia becoming undetailed. The object of this site is to get a page for everything, right? Just because the DBZ franchise produces a lot of games doesn't mean they arent seperate. This is DBZ's first step into a console that can actually produces graphics (with apologies to Wii). Best to put it in the "See Also" section. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.187.115.119 (talk) 14:24, 17 July 2009 (UTC)
Well, I hope my changes will put this merger proposal. It should stand out on it's own as it is. Kinda proud of what I did. Sarujo (talk) 04:54, 22 July 2009 (UTC)
Assessment
[edit]Per assessment request at WP:VG, I've re-rated this article to C-class, a rather conservative rating. A little tweaking and it could be B-class. In any case, I find that the lead is exceptionally weak - especially since the lead is perhaps the most important part of an article. Consider expanding it and re-writing it to confirm with WP:LEAD. The rest of the article is mostly fine. Good job! --haha169 (talk) 18:53, 21 July 2009 (UTC)
