Per WP:MUSIC, an ensemble is notable when: "Is an ensemble which contains two or more independently notable musicians, or is a musician who has been a member of two or more independently notable ensembles." The band's only notable member is Josh Klinghoffer. Also, the band does not have substantial news coverage to satisfy WP:N. avs5221 (talk) 08:20, 9 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Yes but not being notable does not make it speedy deletable by WP:CSD#A7. I would suggest changing it to a redirect to an appropriate target or if you think it is not useful as a redirect and wish to delete it then take it to WP:AfD. Polargeo (talk) 14:30, 9 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
"Is a musician who has been a member of two or more independently notable ensembles" -- 1. Red Hot Chili Peppers - 2. Gnarls Barkley -- Does that count? I would argue it's significant that Klinghoffer is associated with both Gnarls and the Chili Peppers since he is the band's front-man and guitarist. I propose that given Klinghoffer's front-and-center role in this band, the case that he has "been a member of two or more independently notable ensembles" can be applied to the notability of the entire band. Other members were also touring members of Gnarls Barkley along with Klinghoffer, which adds to the band's notability. Keep in mind that these are "rules of thumb" and that failure to adhere to a strict interpretation of the rules' phrasing does not necessarily mean the group is less than notable.
