Donington or Donnington?

[edit]

Which is it? Has spelling changed at some stage?--124.184.17.106 (talk) 00:05, 3 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, I think you may be referring to the, as yet unwritten, article for Donington, Shropshire? It's v.confusing when a county has a Donington and 2 Donningtons. Best Wishes Saga City (talk) 12:14, 3 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]
The hamlet has always been known as far as my knowledge of Shropshire history goes, as Donnington. The Donnington now part of Telford was less widely known prior to industrialisation in east Shropshire than the hamlet with the grammar school, merely a township of the parish of Lilleshall.Cloptonson (talk) 20:08, 8 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
