Current supply / Africa connection?
[edit]- "Why is China buying up the global supply of donkeys?" http://edition.cnn.com/2016/09/29/africa/china-african-donkeys/index.html — Preceding unsigned comment added by 78.29.251.163 (talk) 17:15, 29 September 2016 (UTC)
Article currently has "produced in several coastal provinces of China", "restrictions on importing animal hides from outside the country", yet there are many news articles online recently in addition to the above regarding the trade and now actively encouraging it; e.g. https://mg.co.za/article/2017-10-03-a-sad-day-for-donkeys-in-zimbabwe-groups-slam-plans-for-meat-factory / https://mg.co.za/article/2017-01-23-donkey-killings-100-bludgeoned-with-hammers-on-olifantshoek-farm / https://mg.co.za/article/2017-01-20-00-donkey-hide-bust-points-to-gang from 2017.

Somewhere in Wikipedia it really ought to be made available that there is absolutely no evidence for ejiao to palliate much less cure anything. It's a scam to tout something as being good for your virility or whatever and then perform these atrocities like skinning thousands upon thousands of innocent donkeys. There is no evidence that a donkeys hide will cure anything ,wiki pedia should say this on the first page! — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2.25.133.244 (talk) 21:45, 18 February 2019 (UTC)
