Looks good now, 2 years laterVishnu2011 (talk) 03:41, 5 October 2009 (UTC)
Isn't it ironic The main picture is in australia, yet australia is never even mentioned in the article. also i recognised that particular sign and parking space, which is almost disturbing. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 203.217.59.87 (talk) 07:05, 10 June 2010 (UTC)
- So, why don't you add a section on Australia? Legitimus (talk) 17:25, 10 June 2010 (UTC)

Merger proposal
[edit]I propose that Handicapped tag be merged into Disabled parking permit. The articles are talking about the same thing, and arguably Disabled Parking Permit is more comprehensive. Existing redirects to Handicapped tag will be addressed and redirected appropriately if merge is completed. Jackiekoerner (talk) 15:43, 13 February 2017 (UTC)
- Agree. Was unaware Handicapped tag existed. It looks rather sloppy as well, per article standards.Legitimus (talk) 11:53, 14 February 2017 (UTC)
Add misconception "only for those with wheelchairs or other mobility aids"?
[edit]It is IMO common enough to be added to the article. Sources: [1] [2] [3].Sjö (talk) 12:50, 27 February 2017 (UTC)
- While that seems reasonable, where is the best place to insert it? The laws are different in each jurisdiction.Legitimus (talk) 19:02, 27 February 2017 (UTC)
Update?
[edit]The link in reference #12 ("How do I obtain a disabled parking permit in the USA?") is accessible only via webarchive, which makes me wonder how up to date the information is. Maybe someone can find more current information and insert the source. --87.150.4.219 (talk) 12:06, 26 January 2019 (UTC)
- Link updated to another state department embassy site that is operational.Legitimus (talk) 20:13, 26 January 2019 (UTC)
Too much US content
[edit]- The following discussion is closed. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section. A summary of the conclusions reached follows.
- The result of this discussion was to split off the United States content Gusfriend (talk) 05:36, 25 January 2022 (UTC)
The very large section detailling the use of these badges in the United States should be SPLIT out to a seperate article, while keeping just a basic summary here. The current US section overwelmingly dominates this article which, per the title, should be a global overview of the subject. Roger (Dodger67) (talk) 19:29, 11 February 2021 (UTC)
- With the addition of the large tables (which I did not add), that seems reasonable to make it into it's own article. From experience with other law-related articles, this seems to be necessary quite often for the US due to its many states.Legitimus (talk) 21:21, 11 February 2021 (UTC)
- No objections here. Graham87 02:10, 12 February 2021 (UTC)
- Reviving this long dormant discussion, a split is now even more needed than a year ago. I've re-added the split tag too. Roger (Dodger67) (talk) 11:08, 3 January 2022 (UTC) Roger (Dodger67) (talk) 11:08, 3 January 2022 (UTC)
The split has taken place and the new page is Disability parking permit (United States). Please check it out and change as appropriate. Gusfriend (talk) 06:01, 25 January 2022 (UTC)
- Now Disabled parking permits of the United States, after my page move. Graham87 14:51, 25 January 2022 (UTC)
