III

[edit]

The nomenclature "Denys III Rolle" is extremely unusual in English naming. The normal convention for someone who is the third of their name in a family would be "Denys Rolle III" (or "3d"). But none of the quotations used in the article even mention a generational number, much less one in this odd style. Are there any reliable sources that justify the use of the peculiar title of this article? — Preceding unsigned comment added by R'n'B (talkcontribs)

Lead rewrite

[edit]

I've done some cleaning up of the article, but the lead needs to be rewritten: it contains content that isn't in the body of the article, and vice versa. But I've run out of steam...  —SMALLJIM  14:58, 2 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

I've had a go at making the lead comply with the guidelines - there is now nothing in the lead that isn't in the body but it could perhaps be expanded a little. I've also given the references a major rework.--NHSavage (talk) 19:43, 3 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]
