Awkward numbering

[edit]

You know, these are officially known by their edition numbers and this year-based number scheme is something that Wikipedia editors are dreaming up. Seeing as how they don't fit neatly into year-by-year numbering, and what I just said about the official editions, why don't we number them that way instead, unambiguously?
