Page Title - 'Death' of Ashli Babbitt

This article is mistitled 'Death of Ashley Babbitt' of all the articles in the category 'People shot dead by law enforcement' with the addition of this article this will be the only one where the circumstances are portrayed ambiguously as 'death', every other article either shows the name, or has 'shooting of', 'killing of', or even 'murder of'.

I propose that this article be re-created or merged as 'Killing of Ashli Babbitt' or 'Shooting of Ashli Babbitt', to be in line with every other similar article.

The notability of this article is not that a woman named Ashli Babbitt died but that she was shot dead by police in questionable circumstances.LikkerdySplit (talk) 05:03, 13 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Support — I believe that this section should just exist in the 2021 storming of the United States Capitol § Casualties section. The page was recently split and so room isn't a concern. Whether Babbitt, or her death, was sufficiently notable for a standalone article was already decided in a previous AfD. This article was essentially a shorter version of the page that was deleted via that discussion; see WP:G4. GorillaWarfare (talk) 16:24, 15 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

This is an obvious cover-up while there is, at least allegedly, an active investigation into her killing, not death, she was killed. Her shooting is by far the most notable of the five deaths in media reports, social media activity, protests, etc. With officer Sicknick a distant 2nd. I don't think wikipedia activists should be allowed to just decide on their own to delete a page with a 20min vote, this is nothing more than a farcical cover-up.LikkerdySplit (talk) 12:09, 23 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

When further detail of the 'investigation' surfaces perhaps then we can re-create this article. I want to add that whereas I can understand the fact that most of the law enforcement officer involved shootings can be isolated as seperate events and then given their own page, we all know full well that had any protestor been shot dead during the BLM riots they would immediately recieve their own distinct page and there would be no discussion of deletion. Fact is that almost none of the info on this page or the original was added to the 2021 Capitol riot page, it was just blanked, another cover-upLikkerdySplit (talk) 12:32, 23 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@Mhhossein: Thanks, I think those have far more unique info than most sources on Ashli Babbitt. I honestly just want to see an equal treatment of white/black, criminal/innocent, right/left topics on wiki, it is both depressing and infuriating how wikipedia activists are able to so readily control information on what is supposed to be a 'free encyclopedia'. Everywhere you go on wikipedia there is either an extreme or soft left-wing perspective presented. Supposedly it should be neutral.

I am not an Ashli Babbitt supporter, I didn't know her and I personally disapprove of dopey Q theories and her going to DC, but I did see that video and it was every bit as bad and worse than Rayshard Brooks, Jacob Blake or George Floyd. Why is it that she should receive three lines, most of which are dedicated to character assassination rather than a neutral description of events. Whereas they receive pages and pages, written with care and devotion, where any information that disagrees with the BLM narrative is excised, hidden and buried. I think before Wikipedia (or it's users) is hindering movement towards a neutral reflection of the events, this is the mainstream media the shapes the outline of the Wiki developments.
