Description (4/18/2012)

[edit]

This article needs to be cleaned up in terms of description. Phrases like "[...]a heavy ballad with amazing vocals," and "[...]of course the husky alto vocals that swoon her audiences," make the page extremely biased and unreliable. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.187.47.246 (talk) 17:48, 18 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Vocal Type

[edit]

Isn't Dawn like an alto or contralto? I was watching MB3 and they said she has the lowest voice of the group.

Dawn's(Richards, making the band) vocal range

[edit]

I would say that dawn is a spinto soprano, meaning that she can sing soprano with a slight push of her voice...considering that she also has a very low and heavy register at the bottom of her range she can still sing with Aundrea on most parts...Making dawn and Aundrea sing together make the soprano parts sound better, in my opinion. Pregnancy Claim

[edit]

I removed the claim that Dawn was pregnant because it was not verified. If this is true please repost with verification. —Preceding unsigned comment added by KaiWmsSlaton (talkcontribs) 19:53, 9 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned references in Dawn Richard (singer)

[edit]

I check pages listed in Category:Pages with incorrect ref formatting to try to fix reference errors. One of the things I do is look for content for orphaned references in wikilinked articles. I have found content for some of Dawn Richard (singer)'s orphans, the problem is that I found more than one version. I can't determine which (if any) is correct for this article, so I am asking for a sentient editor to look it over and copy the correct ref content into this article.

Reference named "Kennedy":

  • From No Boys Allowed: Kennedy, Gerrick G. (2010-12-21). "Despite a struggling chart profile, Ciara remains optimistic: 'I'm in this for the long run'". Los Angeles Times. Retrieved 2010-12-22.
  • From Goldenheart: Kennedy, Gerrick D. (January 22, 2013). "Dawn Richard goes solo and hits a high note with 'GoldenHeart'". Los Angeles Times. Archived from the original on January 23, 2013. Retrieved January 23, 2013. {{cite news}}: Unknown parameter |deadurl= ignored (|url-status= suggested) (help)

I apologize if any of the above are effectively identical; I am just a simple computer program, so I can't determine whether minor differences are significant or not. AnomieBOT 01:47, 31 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Pronunciation of last name

[edit]

I don't know if it's a talking point, but her last name is of the French pronunciation. Interview: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NMJXJfSnuaY — Preceding unsigned comment added by 64.121.83.85 (talk) 17:04, 29 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]
