No consensus to move. Vegaswikian (talk) 01:39, 25 April 2011 (UTC)
David Karp (entrepreneur) → David Karp – As founder of the immensely popular tumblr, he meets the primary topic guidelines. Marcus Qwertyus 08:13, 18 April 2011 (UTC)
- Oppose. No evidence of being the primary topic. Article isn't even particularly long. -- Necrothesp (talk) 08:48, 18 April 2011 (UTC)
- The length does not demerit the proposal because there are plenty of resources to add to the article.[1] [2]
- You'll have to be more specific. How does he meet the primary topic guidelines? Powers T 11:53, 18 April 2011 (UTC)
- Um by being CEO and founder of the 54th most popular website in the world? I made my proposal vague in the first place so we could discuss the positives and negatives because there are no official guidelines. Marcus Qwertyus 03:50, 19 April 2011 (UTC)
- You're the one who said he met them. Now you're saying there's nothing for him to have met? You'll excuse me if I'm confused. Powers T 13:17, 19 April 2011 (UTC)
- There are guidelines but no strict policy. I'd rather debate the merits than lay them all out in the proposal. Marcus Qwertyus 18:04, 19 April 2011 (UTC)
- So there are merits to your proposal but you don't want to say what they are. In that case, I oppose. Powers T 20:40, 19 April 2011 (UTC)
- I'd rather discuss concerns on a case-by-case basis like my response to Necrothesp above. Marcus Qwertyus 20:44, 19 April 2011 (UTC)
- This is ridiculous. Until you present some sort of argument for your position, there's nothing for me to react to. There is nothing wrong with the status quo, and it is up to the person suggesting otherwise to make that case. Powers T 23:09, 19 April 2011 (UTC)
- I guess I don't know what you want then. Marcus Qwertyus 00:58, 20 April 2011 (UTC)
- I want you to explain what's wrong with the current arrangement and why you want to change it. Powers T 13:13, 20 April 2011 (UTC)

- WP:NOTINHERITED. Notability is not inherited. Can you show he is primary topic, and not his website? 65.94.45.160 (talk) 05:03, 20 April 2011 (UTC)

The result of the move request was: page moved. DrKiernan (talk) 14:13, 6 October 2012 (UTC)
David Karp (entrepreneur) → David Karp – One year on and the Tumblr founder is still the primary topic. Nobody even comes close. Tumblr, writer, sociologist, botanist. Marcus Qwertyus (talk) 07:35, 9 September 2012 (UTC)
- Support Open and shut case. I think that's the sort of evidence Powers was looking for above. --BDD (talk) 02:41, 17 September 2012 (UTC)
