David Jacobs (Welsh athlete)David Jacobs (British athlete) – He is notable for winning in representation of the British team and I think that presentation should be the same as for every other British athlete. There is nothing in the article to present a particular presentation as Welsh. GregKaye 12:11, 28 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Lugnuts. David Jacobs (sprinter) might be an option. The David Jacobs navigation page is also inclusive of David Jacobs (table tennis), David Jacobs (gymnast) and Davy Jacobs, South African cricketer.
65.94.43.89 David Jacobs (sprinter) or David Jacobs (British athlete)? GregKaye 08:26, 29 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Either "(sprinter)" or "(British athlete)" works for me; "sprinter" is probably the better choice. -- 65.94.43.89 (talk) 04:40, 30 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Then Oppose move to British per WP:MOSIDENTITY, as the opening line states he's Welsh, not British. Lugnuts Dick Laurent is dead 08:48, 29 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
It says he was born in Wales, but it's clear he can also be thought of as a Londoner, and the sources seem to make a big thing of him being Jewish. The Wikipedia:Naming conventions (people)#Disambiguating guideline says the disambiguator should be "what the person is noted for being". Maybe he is notable for being Welsh, but he's more notable for being Jewish, so that would argue for "Jewish athlete", and as an Olympian, he is more notable as British, for being on the British team. With his mixed/joint identity, I think it better to avoid any choice of ours on ethnicity/nationality. Consequently, I support "David Jacobs (sprinter)".
