New book on Ingram
[edit]I just heard an interview with Dean Snow who wrote The Extraordinary Journey of David Ingram published by Oxford University Press (2023), which explains some of the confusion in the original story and makes the story seem much more reasonable. I hope that helps someone. SchreiberBike | ⌨ 17:55, 6 March 2023 (UTC)

- Hi SchreiberBike (talk · contribs). I'm taking this up - I've read a bit on Ingram's life, and I have noted down several sources to fix issues with this article. Any help / comments appreciated. Boselaphus (talk) 20:17, 5 September 2023 (UTC)
- @Boselaphus: I see that the link to the podcast above is dead. I've found it on Spotify at https://open.spotify.com/episode/1n08oPeMyIKoEZ6RMBZj17 . I hope that helps. When I listened to the story, it occurred to me that Ingram's story, unscientific as it is, might help with estimates of North American population before European contact (Wikipedia says "Estimates range from 8–112 million", such a wide range). That mystery has always interested me. Keep up the good work. SchreiberBike | ⌨ 22:57, 5 September 2023 (UTC)
