Toning it down?
[edit]Not saying that Coombs isn't a heckuva guy, but the praise in the article could probably be toned down a bit. Hammersbach (talk) 16:07, 6 September 2010 (UTC)
- No, tone down a lot.--S. Rich (talk) 06:11, 22 September 2010 (UTC)
- Trimmed some fluff, added some refs. Snori (talk) 13:45, 29 November 2010 (UTC)
He is not a trial advocacy professor. He teaches Criminal Law and Evidence now Wikipeediaomg (talk) 20:22, 2 July 2018 (UTC)
Project listing?
[edit]Should Mr. Coombs even have a BLP? Several reasons support AFD based on notability: 1. Significant cases are limited; 2. His article is COI'd and PUFF'd; 3. He does not have notability in the legal community, e.g., no ABOTA (American Board of Trial Advocates) rating, no NBTA certification, nor a LexisNexis Martindale-Hubbell listing. With these factors in mind, I've reduced his Project Law class to stub and removed importance. --S. Rich (talk) 15:52, 5 November 2010 (UTC)
- Reassess to Start class & Low importance. He's Bradly Manning's defense counsel. Removed Project US as overly broad.--S. Rich (talk) 14:17, 4 April 2012 (UTC)

- Duh – brain freeze. Rather, I endorse BHG's suggestion. – S. Rich (talk) 02:37, 17 March 2014 (UTC)

- Rename to David Coombs (lawyer). I checked all the references in the article, except the dead links or those behind a paywall. In all the sources other than his own website etc, he was referred to as plain "David Coombs". That needs disambiguation, so add "(lawyer)". --BrownHairedGirl (talk) • (contribs) 01:20, 17 March 2014 (UTC)
