[edit]Bit surprised to see hardly anything mentioned about Tractors? particulary when the the tractor side of the business became David Brown Case (late 1970's) (which then became just (late 1980's)Case).--Pandaplodder 22:32, 30 March 2007 (UTC)
- It has mostly been absorbed into the main article Tractor to prevent duplication. Richard Harvey 00:13, 31 March 2007 (UTC)
I disagree with that, I beleive that there should be a large chunk about the tractor business here, because it was the mainstay of their existance. Also, if you were looking for david brown tractor information, you wouldnt search tractor, you would seatch david brown. Therefore, I beleive we should add a section on the history of their tractors. - Go for it, I agree, Tractors were produced at the Meltham Mills factory for some 50 years. My dad was a former zinc plater there. Unfortunately I was too young at the time to have any more interest than 'OO! big wheels and shiny red colour' :), though I may have a couple of Tractor photo's around somewhere to help pad out the article! Your main problem will be in not repeating the information on the David Brown Tractor Club website, which will have the admins descend on the articles with copyright cutting precision! - Filled it out a bit with referenced material from books on DB, More later history still needed to bring upto date. note: you can add info from the web site as long as its not s straight copy. (was not working when i looked, but it has worked before) - BulldozerD11 (talk) 15:21, 4 November 2008 (UTC)
Ferguson System dispute
[edit]This article indicates that the Ferguson agreement with Ford over the three point hitch was terminated by Ferguson. Per other sources I have read [1] [2] [3], this was not the case. Either way, this statement needs a citation. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 98.251.60.237 (talk) 03:14, 27 December 2011 (UTC)
- Section rewritten and your second reference added to the section. Richard Harvey (talk) 10:57, 27 December 2011 (UTC)

- @Torthall, do you have any sources indicating the name change? Per WP:NAMECHANGES we can give extra weight in favor of name changes if they are reflected in sources published after the change. Otherwise, I would oppose this under the grounds that the name change hasn't been documented in RS. ASUKITE 17:02, 15 February 2023 (UTC)
