The show is produced in Canada, but why are we saying that it's a Canadian TV series that airs on Space and not an American TV series airing on Syfy? It is produced by NBC Universal, which is based in US.--103.20.0.189 (talk) 14:52, 27 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

We're saying it airs on Space in Canada because it airs on Space in Canada. It's distributed by NBC Universal, not produced. Alex|The|Whovian 14:56, 27 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]
It also airs on Syfy at the same date, and same time. So what makes it a "Canadian" TV show and not an American one?--103.20.0.189 (talk) 18:46, 27 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]
What makes it an American show and not a Canadian one? Alex|The|Whovian 02:15, 28 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Which is basically my point. So can we call it Canadian-American, and enter ratings for both Syfy and Space channel?--103.20.0.189 (talk) 05:12, 28 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Except that it's produced in Canada by a Canadian business, so it's a Canadian series. Alex|The|Whovian 05:44, 28 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]
A lot of shows made for US channels are produced in Canada, that doesn't make them Canadian series. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 118.107.131.5 (talk) 06:03, 28 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]
This is produced in Canada by a Canadian company, which is a lot different to a show filmed in Canada by a US company (which is actually what you're referring to and is the majority of such series.) Canterbury Tail talk 16:58, 12 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

wow, 60 no votes for changing the time sence?

[edit]

wow, I seem to have gotten over 60 down votes in less than 10 minutes afer I changed some past tense to present tense, and some future tense to current tense. what exactly is the argument here? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Tothmetres (talkcontribs) 04:22, 20 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

What exactly are you talking about? There's no votes scheme on Wikipedia, and there's no recorded edits from you on this page. Alex|The|Whovian 04:48, 20 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Actually, I just hit the back button one too many times, and meant this to be on a different page, my mistake. I never edited this page. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Tothmetres (talkcontribs) 22:40, 20 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Maybe you had bad spelling like you did here. Sence isn't a word. There's sense which is what you wanted, or since (which is a completely different word). 2601:584:C580:3E30:71DF:E193:5A80:C8A4 (talk) 20:14, 4 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Overkill in the Cast section

[edit]

There's a lot of overkill in the Cast section. I removed a twitter link confirming a character name but frankly no references are needed for that section anymore, they are entirely redundant now. Before a show (or film) is released the character names would need to be confirmed but after that the show itself is the source of names. It is okay to use it as the primary source, no one doubts those are the names. -- 109.79.61.236 (talk) 01:22, 19 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

If you really think the citation is necessary, how come the name "Lt. Kal Varrick" doesn't get another a citation too? For obvious reasons it isn't in the early citation with cast names.
Thinking about it a bit more it would be preferable not to include the any of the names Derrick Moss, Kal Varrick, or even Emily Kolburn. It isn't quite as bad as listing the name Kasier Soze beside the actor but not a simple character introduction, it is too much information. -- 109.79.61.236 (talk) 01:36, 19 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

WP:REDLINK "will be created soon or that an article should be created" I can understand your reading of RedLink and the reluctance of many editors to create them but I respectfully disagree that if I'm expected to create an articles. -- 109.79.61.236 (talk) 01:25, 19 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Note about Liburd and Sipos

[edit]

Note that neither Liburd nor Sipos were credited for "Stuff To Steal, People To Kill" (neither appeared in the episode) – this implies fairly strongly that, despite being listed as "cast" at the Syfy "Dark Matter" website, neither is in fact "main cast" (in the way that Cross, et al. are) and that they should probably be moved to the "recurring" cast section. FWIW... --IJBall (contribstalk) 12:44, 22 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

@IJBall: If they've been listed in the opening credits at any time, they get listed as Main. Even if only one episode didn't credit them. Alex|The|Whovian? 13:12, 22 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Well, one of the issues here is what defines the "opening credits" in terms of this particular show. Dark Matter doesn't tag "Guest starring" roles – they run both the main cast credits, and then the guest cast credits, right after one another with no break. The only "tip off" here is that Liburd and Sipos are listed immediately after the "...and..." main cast (i.e. after Cross and Zoie Palmer, who are shown with "and"...), rather than before them, which again could imply that they aren't considered "main cast"... This is all ambiguous enough that I don't intend to change the current arrangement at this article – I posted this more just to point out that this situation is ambiguous and unclear. --IJBall (contribstalk) 13:20, 22 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Casting

[edit]

Joe Mallozzi has revealed four upcoming character castings, along with actor pics for Season three here [1] and here [2] problem is that he hasn't listed whether they're main, recurring or guest and it would be wrong to assume until a proper source is listed. Generally speaking, what is policy here? Do we need to wait until a secondary source confirms status of each of these cast members, or can they just be added underneath the three sections as maybe upcoming for Season 3? I really don't know. 81.106.156.252 (talk) 02:23, 24 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

In more countries than only the US and Canada

[edit]

Should we mention somewhere that the series is broadcast in other countries and regions too? Roger (Dodger67) (talk) 15:54, 17 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

As long as they conform with WP:TVINTL and are reliable sourced. Alex|The|Whovian? 07:16, 18 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]
