Fair use rationale for Image:Dare-cover.png

[edit]

Image:Dare-cover.png is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 22:27, 2 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

First to be recorded electronically?

[edit]

The line "The album was one of the first to be recorded entirely electronically, without the use of any traditional instruments." is patently not true. Firstly, bands like Kraftwerk had been doing it for years, and the Human League's first two albums were recorded entirely electronically. Secondly, a guitar was used on this album in the intro to Love Action (albeit in a non-recognizable form).

I have removed the line as it is simply innacurate on two counts.Robojam (talk) —Preceding undated comment added 20:35, 11 June 2009 (UTC).[reply]

Hello fellow Wikipedians,

I have just added archive links to 4 external links on Dare (album). Please take a moment to review my edit. If necessary, add {{cbignore}} after the link to keep me from modifying it. Alternatively, you can add {{nobots|deny=InternetArchiveBot}} to keep me off the page altogether. I made the following changes:

When you have finished reviewing my changes, please set the checked parameter below to true or failed to let others know (documentation at {{Sourcecheck}}).

Article requirements:

Green tickY At least one section of prose (excluding the lead section)
Green tickY A track listing containing track lengths and authors for all songs
Green tickY A full list of personnel, including technical personnel and guest musicians
Green tickY Categorisation at least by artist and year
Green tickY A casual reader should learn something about the album. Andrzejbanas (talk) 06:16, 11 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

To meet the more rigorous criteria of the revised B class, this article needs some work to make the prose flow, including expanding single sentence sections into full paragraph or incorporating them with other information into larger sections. It also needs improvements to sourcing, including citations to verify such claims as "This use of computer and synthesizer technology was groundbreaking for the period". The article may also benefit from some copy-editing. For instance, there is an inexplicable tense change here: "Oakey accepts that Martin Rushent's adept sequencing and programming skills would bring a professional edge to the band's sound". Please see Wikipedia:WikiProject_Albums/Assessment for additional information on B class in album articles. --Moonriddengirl (talk) 02:39, 20 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

How many singles?

[edit]

The preamble says it had four singles released, though the infobox clearly lists five singles. Am I missing something here? sheridan (talk) 14:52, 25 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]
