Fair use rationale for Image:S234676.jpg
[edit]Image:S234676.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

What IS the picture? It isn't described by the odd caption. Off-Topic.
[edit]It isn't clear what the lead picture is of, except of some random people in Peruvian garb, which is off-topic. This is confirmed by the photo's metadata. It also seems to be an excuse for a "photo credit" and a link to somebody's site.
I'm going to remove the off-topic photo and try to incorporate the "caption" into the text.

Same thing for the second picture
[edit]The second "Hugh Pickens" photo's caption claims that the band is playing Daniel Aloma Robles, but the photo's page (http://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/File:Musical_Performance_in_Huancayo.jpg) doesn't support this. It only says "A performance of musical folklore of the Andes in the ampitheatre of Huancayo, Peru in 1970". So, again the photo is off-topic. Nice colorful pictures of people in Peru yes, but not related to the subject matter. I will delete it for that reason.
Incidentally, the photo's page also goes on to say "Attribution must be provided to Hugh Pickens and a link to the web site." It's like he is using WP to advertise his site, which is dicey. I don't know if it's technically allowed or not, but it sure creeps me out, and I suspect strongly that it isn't allowed. Remember though, I'm deleting it because it's off-topic, not because it turns my stomach, even if the stomach turning gives me a little more zeal.
