Peter Riegert

Would it be considered a spoiler to add Peter Riegert as George Moore to the character list? --David Bixenspan 15:00, 19 September 2007 (UTC)

I believe these TV show articles you should just add things as the episodes air. Don't try to make so many advances...you'll tire yourself out. --Maaladeisia (talk) 03:36, 30 July 2009 (UTC)

How has this show been received by viewers (both critics and fans) thus far? Albert Cheng 13:10, 24 September 2007 (UTC)

I know we mustn't use this as a forum but...

I LOVE this show!!!! --Maaladeisia (talk) 03:34, 30 July 2009 (UTC)

Series renewal

The TV Guide blog cited as a source re: the renewal of the series was based on a report from "reliable sources," not a factual announcement by the network. As of October 25, 2007, FX executives have yet to announce if the series will be renewed. 209.247.22.164 14:04, 25 October 2007 (UTC)

Resolution

"the identities of David's murderer and Ellen's attacker are revealed (at least to the audience), and the Frobisher case is resolved." How is it resolved? Who murdered David and attacked Ellen? That's half the reason for Wikipedia, to explain these sorts of mysterious unknowable things -- things like calculus, etc. ;) Banaticus (talk) 23:11, 27 December 2008 (UTC)

I'm not going to decide whether or not the information deserves to be on the page, but the person (well, one of them) who killed David was Detective Rick Messer (the guy with the beard and glasses, played by David Costabile). As for Ellen's attacker, it was some unnamed (to my knowledge) person who was working with Messer. 70.121.201.71 (talk) 04:16, 17 January 2009 (UTC)
Oops, I mispoke, the Unnamed (to my knowledge) person was working with, according to Ellen, Patty (I accidently wrote Messer).70.121.201.71 (talk) 04:49, 17 January 2009 (UTC)

Season 3

I haven't been able to locate a source confirming renewal of series for third season. Does anyone else could find one? LeaveSleaves 20:04, 8 January 2009 (UTC)

Added a source. It was renewed for two seasons after season one so there's no source actually confirming a third season pickup.–FunkyVoltron talk 22:09, 8 January 2009 (UTC)

Who is the old guy that works with Patty

I keep seeing episodes with this old guy who is Patty's henchman, or partner; tall thin, old, with a beaky nose. Who is the actor who plays him? What's the character's name? This is driving me crazy since I can't find anything on him.  : p —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.1.89.9 (talk) 06:48, 9 February 2009 (UTC)

Tom Aldredge is the actor; I know him best as the Narrator in the original Broadway production of Into the Woods. The character is "Uncle Pete," who, according to Patty, is her maternal uncle. He has a pretty long rap sheet.
I have issues with some assertions that this wiki makes about his character, in fact. There's a suggestion that he went over Patty's head in ordering the hit on Ellen, overlooking the fact that Patty was the one who arranged for Ellen to be in Patty's apartment when the hitman arrived, and Patty's actions in the first two episodes of season two indicate that Ellen is not mistaken in her assertions that Patty tried to have Ellen killed. Pete has connections enough to arrange for Ellen's murder and still keep Patty relatively insulated, but Patty knew enough to know what was happening the whole time. She felt guilty in halves about what she had done to Fiske and for trying to have Ellen killed, as we see clearly when the ghost of Fiske/Patty's conscience appeared to Patty at the beginning of the second season. 66.25.182.241 (talk) 18:37, 19 February 2009 (UTC)

Contractions

The contractions in this article ("she's", "isn't" etc) need to go -- WP:MOS#Contractions. – ukexpat (talk) 01:34, 20 February 2009 (UTC)

Cast for Season Three

The rumors are flying and they're getting into the article. One editor has added Timothy Olyphant without a source, and the rumored appearance of Campbell Scott, sourced by a gossip website that is highly unreliable, which I have not reverted. Fox has made it clear they will soon release information about the season. We should hold off adding cast until they can be reliably sourced, not rumored by the uber-unreliable Ausiello or supposedly identified in an unsourced interview with a cast member. This kind of casting rumor abounds as the fall and winter series go back into production, and aren't reliable to an encyclopedic standard. Drmargi (talk) 01:16, 1 September 2009 (UTC)

I have now provided a reliable source for Campbell Scott's casting, since the previous editor refuses to do so, but prefers to edit war with the expectation we'll take his/her word for sources that can't be produced. Drmargi (talk) 05:25, 1 September 2009 (UTC)
