Season 3 plot summary collapses into subjective criticism

[edit]

Would deleting the last paragraph be enough to salvage it? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.178.161.64 (talk) 16:39, 9 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Honestly, all the season summaries, excepting 1, NEED HELP. I did work on two (comments welcome!), but three four and five still need much work. Augsburgbeliever (talk) 05:54, 26 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Brevity of plot synopsis

[edit]

I suggest we limit the plot synopsis of each season to 500 words. At present, the synopsis of Season 1 is pretty good at 565 words, but the synopsis of Season 2 is terrible. It reads like a synopsis of each episode. I just finished watching Season 2, so I'm going to take a stab at editing it. -162.6.97.3 (talk) 17:15, 9 November 2010 (UTC) -ErinHowarth (talk) 21:03, 9 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Please do. The synopsis was probably written as each episode aired. We wouldn't be losing anything as we already have episode-by-episode summaries at List of Damages episodes. —Mrwojo (talk) 17:31, 9 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Instead of editing, I ended up doing a rewrite. The new synopsis is 492 words. The previous synopsis was 1809 words. It was a lot harder than I thought, but I decided to leave out all the B-stories, like the story about Patty's husband's infidelity, her son's girlfriend and Katie's reappearance. I just focused on Patty's case against Kendrick and Ellen's quest to get Patty arrested. I think I did okay on choosing the right details to include, but my sentences don't flow very well, in my opinion. Further edits are most welcome. -ErinHowarth (talk) 21:30, 9 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Opening Credit Sequence

[edit]

I don't know if anyone can use this, perhaps for a trivia section, but the NYC public art (sculptures, frieze) in the opening credit sequence is as follows: 1. Grand Central Station ("Mercury", "Hercules" [mirror-imaged], "Minerva") 2. Municipal Building ("Civic Fame") 3. Customs House ("Asia") 4. New York County Supreme Court Building frieze (inscription: "The true administration of justice is the firmest pillar of good government." -G. Washington) Agent Cooper (talk) 04:24, 12 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Nevermind; did it myself. Agent Cooper (talk) 05:11, 12 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Season 5 speculation absolutely bizarre

[edit]

Seriously, before the 4th season has aired, we're determining the 5th season will be based on the DSK scandal, without any citations? Can whoever added this either cite your sources or delete this? I'm not saying it's totally wrong (It would be a really great plot and very much in the style of the Damages team to take it on) but there's just no evidence that it's planned or even on the drawing board, and that absolutely flies in the face of having a fact-based article.--65.9.142.69 (talk) 11:18, 6 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Non linear?!

[edit]

The so called narrative technique implies plot questions. Just saw the first season and the sparkling subjectives of murder beyond the everyday reality in fiction are tensefull, but misshiding in thriller sense. So whose dog is d(e)ad? --Ai-mu-mu (talk) 10:11, 21 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]
