DFDS versus DFDS Seaways

[edit]

For clarification, is (or should) this article be about DFDS, the parent company of DFDS Seaways, DFDS Tor Line etc. etc. or is it about DFDS Seaways, the passenger division? Because currently the article concentrates only on DFDS Seaways and ignores all the others. - Kjet 13:43, 24 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

It certainly needs expansion. A solution would be to have an article on DFDS (the parent company) with subsections about DFDS Seaways, DFDS Tor Line, etc. There's quite a good article on the German Wikipedia which could be translated into English; this concentrates on the history of the company. --RFBailey 14:02, 25 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I very much like the subdivisions idea. If someone could translate the company history part from the german article that would be fab (I'd do it myself but my german is far too rusty). Kjet 15:15, 25 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
As DFDS Seways has recently took over Norfolkline I think its time DFDS Seaways had its own article, I shall move the section over now Philphos (talk) 16:46, 31 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Supported. With DFDS' reforming their brands into just DFDS Seaways and DFDS Logistics, it would be prudent to create articles for these two - there's plenty of material for proper articles on both. — Kjet (talk · contribs) 10:52, 1 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Princess of Norway

[edit]

Hi I have changed the link from the little page on her to the full page devoted to this ship but it is as 'spirit of Tasmania' I hope no one minds too much but it would be a bit of a wast having two pages on the very same ship. Mbruce1 06:54, 10 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hmm, personally I'd prefer having the article under the current name, having the link lead to a page seemingly dealing with an Australian ferry can be a tad confusing. Kjet 12:47, 10 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Picture of Princess of Scandinavia

[edit]

Since this vessel has now left the fleet, I think it would be better the picture in the artical was replaced with a current ship. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 217.45.147.233 (talk) 12:33, 26 January 2007 (UTC).[reply]

Certainly, but no picture of a current ship is available to use at Wiki. A picture of an old ship is better than no picture at all, methinks. - Kjet 16:45, 26 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

DFDS Lisco GmbH

[edit]

Someone seems to have moved the main article for DFDS Lisco to DFDS Lisco GmbH, so we now have an article on the German subsidiary but not for LISCO itself. The Lisco stuff needs a bit of general sorting out anyway, but I thought I'd highlight that one. 82.3.242.144 (talk) 14:01, 14 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Article moved back to DFDS Lisco, update in progress to show rebranding as DFDS Seaways. Philphos (talk) 12:21, 13 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
