Chinnese admissions

[edit]

3 Billion Admissions in china? I doubt if the entire population of china saw it three times each. Citation needed. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 217.151.109.178 (talk) 20:37, 7 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Sequel

[edit]

Is the stuff about "The Last Godfather," and "Fish War" true? It just seems too retarded. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 202.127.8.6 (talk) 05:30, 9 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I concur. And I like your phrasing of the situation. =) Though this *is* the guy that brought us D-War, so we maybe we shouldn't be all that surprised by Fish Wars. Anyways, these films do not exist on IMDB--thank god. I propose an ultimatum: whoever put those there can pony up some citations or they get axed. --Phrenology (talk) 05:29, 12 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Rating the importance scale

[edit]

The movie itself is not so great to rate even "low" but brought out very controversial issues in South Korea. So I changed the grade.--Appletrees (talk) 14:36, 11 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

In my opinion it is not appropriate to say for any movie that "This movie is generally regarded as one of the worst ever made". I deleted this sentence. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 91.92.169.4 (talk) 15:25, 6 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Change article title?

[edit]

All the ads I'm seeing on TV and such here in the U.S. are calling this movie "Dragon Wars. So shouldn't it be in the article title? Maybe Dragon Wars: D-War or something? Hill of Beans (talk) 21:56, 14 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

D-War is the official title. See IMDB. Asmor (talk) 05:38, 18 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Leave the title as it is, but create redirects.Gevorg89 (talk) 14:41, 3 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Plot section

[edit]

The plot section is eloquently written, but a few things confused me. What does it mean when it says that the bad Imugi almost captures her when Ethan saves her and when he is shot away from her? I think I get the gist of it, but restating it more clearly may be apropiate.

With no wish to offend, it also may be more appropiate to Wikipedia to state some plot events in a more condensed fashion. There were some characters and plot events I've seen in clips from the film that were not mentioned... for example, how does the military get involved? --RainbowWerewolf (talk) 08:20, 16 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I'm working on a full plot summary, describing almost all the events other than very minor ones (such as when a friend of Sarah's and her boyfriend are about to kiss). The current one is a complete mess (with no offense to the contributer). By the way, the military jump into action as soon as the Bulcoes invade the city and the Shaconnes and the Dawdlers march into the streets.

Starshade17 (talk) 11:55, 28 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I think this section should be a lot shorter. Look: "Plot summaries have a tendency to grow past the recommended 300 to 500 word length. Some editors call this phenomonon "plot bloat." Appropriate plot summaries describe the major events depicted in the fictional work, but do not describe individual scenes in detail or paraphrase dialog. For larger or complex fictional works, certain elements can be split off into sub-articles, per WP:SS. Where this happens, guidelines tell us that "The parent article should have general summary information and the more detailed summaries of each subtopic should be in daughter articles and in articles on specific subjects." This allows individual summaries to maintain their size even for more complex works." [1] Rachel63 (talk) —Preceding undated comment was added at 03:26, 15 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

There's already a tag for that, as well as intermittent work on thinning.Westrim (talk) 03:38, 15 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Budget Discrepancy

[edit]

In the article, it states that the budget was "$33 million (30 million won)"; however these are two totally different amounts. 30 million won would be closer to $33,000 not $33 million. Can someone verify and correct this amount? Navie05 (talk) 06:07, 21 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

It's 30 billion won. —MJBurrage(TC) 03:04, 3 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Running time

[edit]

In English version it's written that the length of the film is 90 minutes while in the Russian version of the article it's written that the length of the film is 107 minutes. Which version is correct?Gevorg89 (talk) 14:47, 3 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
