Crescent Lake is at 40°05'14" North, 94°40'10" East, which is six kilometres due south of the centre of Dunhuang. Source: Digital Globe imagery on Google Earth. FitzHugh 20:56, 22 October 2006 (UTC)
Logical inconsistency
[edit]"According to measurements made in 1960, the average depth of the lake was 4 to 5 metres (13 to 16 ft), with a maximum depth of 7.5 metres (25 ft). In the following 40 years, the depth of the lake declined by more than 7.6 metres (25 ft)."
As phrased suggests that the lake's depth declined by more than its max depth, which is of course impossible. 108.51.28.137 (talk) 15:15, 19 July 2023 (UTC)
- Yeah, I've just seen that. And I can't access the source quoted, as it is behind some sort of account wall. This needs to be altered by someone who knows what the source is saying. 2A02:C7C:BCEB:3500:3022:C2CF:C4FD:D6C2 (talk) 16:14, 8 December 2024 (UTC)
