Dissolution
[edit]It's old news now, but why did the label fold? The article doesn't say. Creation goes from winning major awards and selling tonnes of records to nothing in no time flat. There's a line about "the dissolution of Creation Records in 1999", but why? 87.113.0.160 (talk) 20:11, 28 September 2012 (UTC)
- The article says McGee burnt out. However, I still find the article and the narrative unsatisfactory. I did read about this at the time, but have forgotten what happened, and the article leaves me feeling none the wiser. How does one just "shut down" a record label? What did Sony have to say about this, and what happened to their 50% stake? What happened to the rights owned by the label (the records are still in print)? Did Sony buy McGee out? Did the rights revert to the artist? How was McGee able to contemplate resurrecting Creation if he only owned half of it? So many unanswered questions. --kingboyk (talk) 21:55, 14 March 2020 (UTC)
Creation Books
[edit]If Creation Books was a subsidiary, could somebody who has the time and knowledge write either a section about it? An earlier article was deleted, but entire books have been written about Creation so there ought to be coverage if Books was a subsidiary. --kingboyk (talk) 22:00, 14 March 2020 (UTC)
