Fashion Race Course vs. West Flushing Stations

Does anybody have any evidence of a relationship between the Flushing and North Side Railroad's acquisition of New York and Flushing Railroad, and the abandonment of the nearby West Flushing (LIRR station) and subsequent name change of this one to "West Flushing?"---------User:DanTD (talk) 13:18, 5 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]
