A fact from Cora Slocomb di Brazza appeared on Wikipedia's Main Page in the Did you know column on 22 March 2023 (check views). The text of the entry was as follows:
The following is an archived discussion of the DYK nomination of the article below. Please do not modify this page. Subsequent comments should be made on the appropriate discussion page (such as this nomination's talk page, the article's talk page or Wikipedia talk:Did you know), unless there is consensus to re-open the discussion at this page. No further edits should be made to this page.
... that Cora Slocomb di Brazza created lace cooperative schools to teach Friulian women a way to earn a living? Source: [1] see abstract. Full ref available from the WP library
ALT1: ... that Cora Slocomb di Brazza, who created lace-making schools, fought against US tariffs and the death penalty, designed a peace flag for women's rights groups, spent thirty-seven years in confinement? Source: same as above
ALT1 does not appear to have the right conjunction before the sentence about confinement. It also jams too many things into the hook and I count 201 characters. The article was promoted to good article status and nominated in time to qualify. The image is free and clear enough. The article has the correct inline citations and is neutral. ALT0 is somewhat interesting and it is cited and in the article. The copyright detector does not detect violations and my spot checks did not reveal any violations. The QPQ is completed. This is a very interesting person, good work. Bruxton (talk) 23:09, 7 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Bruxton, I've just finished an article on her mom. Perhaps a double hook is possible? I have no idea how to modify the nomination to do that, but perhaps:
If you can figure out how to modify the format and think the hook is interesting, I can force myself to find another article to review. SusunW (talk) 17:17, 11 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@SusunW: I will modify the hook and donate a QPQ to cover the addition. Template:Did you know nominations/Lynching of Allen Brooks. I also added a semi-colon to the hook. I like the hook better than the original. I struck the original. My review of the second article, the hook is interesting and cited and it appears in the article. The article is new and long enough. It is neutral. The QPQ for the second hook is done. Bruxton (talk) 17:27, 11 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Sorry Bruxton the technical aspects of WP are daunting to me. I know you reviewed it, I just didn't know if I needed to make a nomination because usually when you do a double it makes 2 nominations and this is only 1. I am probably not explaining it well, but I trust you know and I clearly don't. SusunW (talk) 21:10, 11 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
